USTA College Information Session at the ACC Tournament PDF  | Print |  E-mail

nctennis_thumbHigh school players, parents, and coaches are invited to attend a College Information Session hosted by the USTA on Saturday April 23rd at the ACC Championships, held at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary NC.

The College Information Session will be run from 12 noon to 1pm and will feature former ATP tour player and NCAA All-American Andy Andrews, who currently serves on both the USTA Junior Competition and Collegiate Varsity National Committees and serves on the USTA Southern Section Board of Directors as Secretary. Andrews will speak on his experience as a junior player, college player, and professional, talk briefly about the recruiting process, and share all the opportunities that exist for American junior tennis players in college tennis. Every attendee will receive a complimentary USTA Guide to Tennis on College Campuses, a must for players who are beginning the recruiting process. Lunch will be provided for attending players, parents, and coaches. The session and lunch will be held under the tent at the Cary Tennis Park.

The semifinals of the ACC Championships will be played at 10am and 1pm on that day-attendees will also receive a complimentary ticket to the day's matches.
The cost of the College Information Session and lunch is $5/person. You will receive your ACC ticket upon check in at the College Information session registration on site that day.
For the NC High School coach who gets the most of his/her players to attend, the USTA will provide a $250 equipment grant to be used for his/her HS program.
